  1. Stop smoking pot and you won't think about things like that. LOL, couldn't resist!!

Thinking about anything magnifies it and its affect. Blinking, breathing, itches, even sounds. It just shows you are noticing things at a heightened awareness.

  2. blink? You ask the weirdest question. (well I guess youre not the only one)

Its prolly cuz when you realize sumthin new you wanna da somethin bout it totally out of the usual stuff you do with it.

    hope you catch that.

  3. blinking cleans your eyes...^_^

  4. It's funny how such a little thing branches out into the most enormous challenges of the world today.  Yes, I am talking about the simple act of blinking.  My Cognitive Neuroscience professor's specialty is in cognitive processes. She is quite credible, and has been studying blinking behavior in alzheimer's patients.

Keep in mind, the physcial act of blinking does protect our eyes from dirt and foreign objects, it is also used in communication-nonverbal. It lets others know if your alive, if your conscious enough to understand what someone else is saying, the speed of blinking shows a 'reaction time' to an event if any, showing signs of any abnormality, which then translates into a diagnosis of some condition.

By understanding: the reason why people blink, the mechanics of it-how we blink-what structures and chemicals are involved, and seeing blinking from a holistic or birds eye view, you can link up the above information with how it all interacts or is involved in the conscious, and subconscious levels.

Who would've known that you would be the one to ask a question currently being studied at a top name university, one of enormous cost and that (hopefully) will change the lives of Alzheimer's patients and their families everywhere! :)
