Thinking about working from home?

I just started my 4 yr. old in Pre-K and am a stay at home mom with a 10 month old, and now I have about 4 to 6 hours of free time and would like to make a little extra money. I don't know which on-line sites to trust or if there are other options, any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Your best (and likely only) chance is to work independently as a freelancer or to go into a service business for yourself.

RentACoder, Guru, and eLance are all freelancing sites you could check out and see if it suits you.

Or you can start your own business doing graphic design, print brokering, translator, day care, bookkeeping, etc.

  2. There are so many different ways to work from home.  You can either apply for a minimum waged home job or go into business for yourself.  A lot of different industries to look into to work from home.  Most people I know either do Child Daycare, Telecommunications or travel.

  3. When you ask a question like this there are only two basic kinds of answers you are going to get:

    1.  Responses (like this one) telling you that you are going to get a bunch of spam about scams.

    2.  Spam.  (Some of the spammers may post unkind remarks about this but that's OK with me.  They are still spam.)
