Thinking fast under pressure?

I have trouble thinking fast under pressure like when i catch a rebound i cant really think state and it goes to the other team.

How can i get better at thinking fast?

  3. If you can not relax might as well bear in mind that when you grabbed an offensive rebound be automatic to shoot the ball at once. It may be a missed shot but rest assured you will have a foul.

    In case that you grabbed a defensive rebound, always look for your team's Point Guard and throw it to him at once.

    How can you get better at thinking fast?.. Watch NBA Games or your local leagues. Pay attention to the moves of Power Forwards and Centers.

    For Jumping Higher:

    Position yourself under the basket and jump as high as you can. Be sure that you stretch everything from your feet to your arms. As soon as you land be sure to jump as quickly as possible. Have this repeated until you get tired. (I tried this drill and i reached around 50 jumps before getting tired.) Once you got tired have a 30 second break and then do another set. Have 3 sets of this every practice for 2 months and you will see the results.

    For Catching Rebounds:

    Grab a ball and throw it to the board and get it with power. Do this repeatedly for 20 times per set. Give yourself 4 sets of these every after practice.

    For Dribbling fast while running:

    You should be a good dribbler while not in motion first so have dribbling drills and ball handling drills for you to feel the ball well then try doing your jogging with the ball.

  5. To think faster, you just need more experience. Play as often as you can, against older/better players and you'll be forced to catch up to them.

    look up plyometrics for ways to jump higher and run faster.

  6. Your nervous thats good, usually causes an adrenaline rush which makes you act/think and be greater then you really are..Now you just have to improve on staying relaxed/calm and all shall go well

  7. after the rebound just pass thats it you will get use to it after time
