  1. Clothes made out of recycled materials tend to be more expensive due to the fact that they are handmade.  Using old clothes to make new clothes usually isn't something that can be done inexpensively because machines can't make it happen.

In addition to the above suggestions, you may also want to try a store called Plato's Closet.  They tend to be pretty fashion forward but they will pay for your clothes.  Chances are, if you purchase something there and get tired of it after a few wearings, they will buy it back.  You won't get what you paid for it but you should get something.  Check it out online.

    Hope this helps!

  2. I completely agree with MandB.  These days you will find us shopping for items at second hand shops or "used" online.  About the only thing we shop for that is not used or recycled are groceries.

I actually enjoy shopping at the second hand stores (or recycling stores as I like to think of them).  It's like going on a treasure hunt.

  3. Actually the GREENEST way to buy clothes is to shop and SECOND HAND STORES.. you pay way less and can find some excellent quality stuff.. I have 2-3 stores I know fequently get brand new-never warn stuff...

dont know if you have a Value Village or Goodwill store?? but where I am both tend to get excellent clothes, many of which are new...

most of the GREEN options infact SAVE you money - eg planting your own garden saves you money PLUS the fruit/vege are way healthier for you than from a store covered with chemicals and pesticides...

soooooooooooo it is infact cheaper to be green.. you just have to look around a bit I guess to see the options...

  4. umm, I didn't really understand the question, but one way to decrease the price of recycled products is to decrease the tax.

But ehh, the Government is in charge with that sort of stuff...
