  1. International definitely

  2. I can only say that where we live, we have a few kids about your childrens age and they are in a state school in Malaga and are doing really well. I would think that Alicante would have a greater amount of English children, so they should do really well. I can only go by how the kids are doing in our area, but they are all getting on very well in a state school

  3. Do exactly the same as you did in England, State school is fine and I lived here with kids for 15 years. Thye WILL get used to the language!

  4. I live on the Costa Blanca North - happy to have a chat if you email me spainops@yahoo.co.uk

  5. Kids even at those ages adapt quicker than anything so I would def. say State school, don´t be like alot of Brits and stick to your own thinking it´s better. International schools are usually expensive and also I think it tends to isolate your kids from mixing with Spanish kids. If you are coming to Spain to live I think everyone should try and integrate. After all Spain is not the UK here we don't like immigrants to try and change the facilities here (unlike the UK) you have to adapt to their ways! Do your kids a favour and put them in State school, before you know it their Spanish will surpass yours and they´ll have loads of friends of all nationalities including Spanish.
