Question:

Thinking of a vacation at Niagra Falls...suggestions?

We're planning our vacation and thinking about going to Niagra Falls for a couple days.

Can you suggest a campground (with cabins?) and some things that might interest young kids and teenagers?

I found that there is a Great Wolf lodge there, so there's that...

I've done a search (or three) but I want actual advice...from actual people, actually...

Thanks!

  1. Yeah Great Wolf Lodge is pretty fun!

    I suggest you go there

  2. Someone mentioned Jelly Stone which is a great park that does have cabins.  Another good one is KOA, located on Lundy's Lane.

Definitely take the kids and teenagers down to Clifton Hill.  There's something for everyone!  The Ripley's museum and the wax museum are great for all-ages.  There is an arcade (the "Midway", attached to Boston Pizza) that is tons of fun for younger kids, and teenagers alike.  And a great bar right inside for the adults  :D

You also definitely want to go on the Skywheel, also on Clifton Hill.  Its a huge ferris wheel that gives great views of the city and the Falls.

Other things to check out are:

    -Butterfly conservatory

    -Bird aviary

-Haunted houses (for the teens and adults)

    -Maid of the Mist

    -Journey Behind the Falls

Good luck and have a great trip!

  3. I'm not too sure about where to stay, as I've always stayed with relatives, but....

Take time for a side trip to Buffalo to check out the home of the Original Buffalo Wings at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.

(I prefer the Canadian side of the Falls, myself. The shops are more interesting.)

The boats that take you up the river to experience the mist look like fun but at the same time the water is really choppy and can make you seasick.

Be sure and visit the falls at night to see them all lit up.

I think there's a tower much like the one in Seattle, Washington. Take the time to go up to the top.

    And have fun!

  4. Jellystone Niagara Camp Resort

8676 Oakwood Dr,  Niagara Falls, ON L2E 6S5

lots to do for kids.... in the Clifton Hill area, there are, musems, arcade area, ferris wheel, bring lots of money tho
