Thinking of buying a Sea Ray 215 Weekender?

Question

Does anyone have or had one of these boats? if so have you had any problems? It has the 5.0 EFI in it.

sea rays = cadillac

the 215 is a rather small boat if you plan on overnighting you may want something a little bigger. the 5.0 EFI is plenty for this boat. definatly check if in salt water.

Good Afternoon,

We own a marina and can tell you from many an experience that Sea Ray truly is the top of the line for recreational boats. They ride great, look good and perform very well in a variety of conditions. On top of that, it has a MerCruiser in it. The 5.0L EFI is a fantastic engine, and at 240 HP has enough power to get you where you want to go in a reliable and safe fashion. The 215 is a nice "in between" boat, meaning that it is small enough to trailer, beach, waterski or just hang out, but at the same time if you want to go camp out or take a nap you can do that in the cuddy. Another great option is the snap-in carpet, which makes the boat very easy to clean and maintain. A great boat that you will be happy with, so I say go for it! I've owned a ton and sold even more and have yet to see an unhappy customer. Most of the Sea Ray's I service are on an average of 5-15 years old, with a few new ones and a few older ones in the mix as well, and they retain their integrity throughout their service life. have had 16 boats, three of them searay. a top of the line boat. none better. when buying a used boat give careful attention to the engine if used in saltwater. corrosion can be a sreious problem in inside of the engine. before buying have it surveyed by a professional surveyor.

I knew some people that had a Sea Ray. You know, they're great boats. You shouldn't have a problem with them.

Yes, my husband and I had one, and it was nothing but a problem! We traded it in and bought a small Yacht instead.  For us the SeaRay was not all that!! .. Good luck!
