  1. From what I have heard, it is one of the best places to move to. The government is very caring.

  2. They boot you out as soon as you arrive with that sort of attitude your not allowed to think as this would make you smarter than the majority of them.LOL

  3. The only slight negative that comes to my mind is that you may loose interest in the rest of the world when you live here.

  4. Hobbits, they're everywhere

  5. Well, as long as you are a professional and can so earn a good income, it is the greatest place on earth.

Although I am biased (I am a Kiwi and proud of it) I have also travelled extensively around the world and lived in many countries, and so I have a good basis of comparrison.

If I had to list a negative aspect of living in NZ, I would have to say "look at the neighbours".

  6. You live somewhere [anywhere] and you want to emigrate to NZ ???

    Why?

It's boring, old fashioned, no decent shops, the whole place needs a good clean and it's full of revheads who drive around at night because there's nothing better for them to do.

Stay where you are [wherever that is]

  7. The downside - they always win at rugby - well, if you are English anyway.  Other thing, most people just think Kiwis are from Oz and don't make any exceptions to the basic rules, that because they come from Oz they must all be drinking Fosters all day.

    May as well.

  8. you'd be surrounded by new zealanders...

  9. if you don't like kiwi fruit.  Also there's a lot of sheep there.

  10. I moved here from the USA and travel back and forth with my work, hence I live in both places.  Negative things:  Everything is of low quality and very over priced.  The education system is very slack, with too much attention spent on Maori studies (an extinct people and a dead language).  Too much attention is spent on Maori things in general, which creates a culture of differences instead of a culture of togetherness.  Violent society, the crime rate in New Zealand is 10 times the crime rate of New York City!!!  No freedom of speech, no freedom of the press, jury trials are set to be removed next year.  The place has gone to h**l in the last 20 years.  High taxes and all spent on lazy welfare beneficiaries who are a drain on society. Poor medical care. Is that enough?
