Thinking of exchanging in Australia?

I'm a 17 year old girl from Norway and I'm thinking of studying a year in Australia with AFS from February 2009. Any advices? (serious ones please)

  1. well for starters here in australia you'd probably need to learn fluent english because i havent meet many people who speak  it (and i live in australia)

    also if you want to study sydney has the best education  i know of for australia

    but if you want to go sit seeing as well as study i reccomend going to brisbane (northern australia)

    if you didnt already know (i probably think you do but just incase) australia has 10hrs daylight so its not long days and nights like it would be up in norway.

    you'd probably find lots of european's in sydney because australians are very multi-cultural so you'd feel right at home

    Buy Sunscreen and bring a hat and sunglasses or as they say in australia "slip slop slap" you are almost garanteed to get burnt other wise

    other than that hope you have a great time here 'down under' in australia
