Thinking of getting HDTV?

So my parents are thinking of getting an HDTV. But we only have cable not Dish Network. If we were to get the TV, would we need to get satelite or can the TV run on normal cable?

  1. HD programming is on digital cable. You may need to upgrade your cable package but you do not need to go with satellite.


  2. Yes your TV will still function with or without dish.  I perfer Cable HD service myself, but you dont have to have hd service for it to work
