im mooving to Kuala Lumpur in a few weeks time, i want to get a lizard-but if i cant then i will get a snake which i already know how to care for. im not to keen on insects, but i think il be okay with crickets and mealworms. whats the best lizard to get for a bigginer, are veild chameleons really hard to look after?, the average temperature in KL is about 80f going up to about 95f so would i need all that temperature equipment?

  1. I would wait until you move. You may not be able to import a reptile without serious quarantine periods, or at all depending on local laws.  I would check into that and decide from there, although if you want a lizard you can handle and is good for beginners I wouldn't go with a chameleon.

  2. Velid chameleons are complicated pets to take care

Leopard geckos are easier im a breeder trust me

  3. veiled chameleons get stressed easy need perfect envirments need large expensive (and in most cases custom built) vivs and are prone to disease other wise there good pets lol

sorry mate there not really beginner lizards

  4. I was going to get a Veiled Chamelion because they look like really cool pets. But they are not beginner lizards and they are easily stressed so you shouldnt hold them much or it could die. I read that they are some of the hardest lizards to take care of. they arent too interactive and friendly either. Get a gecko or (my personal favorite) a bearded dragon. I have a beardie and he is really sweet and not too complicated to care for. Im not sure if ud need the equipment....maybe you should research
