  1. replace the car with a horse,, get a milk cow to replace soda

  2. Why not start by improving your home environment.  NASA completed a "Clean Air Plant Study" and found ten plants that will do a great job.

TOP 10 plants most effective in removing: formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the air.

Start saving up for the world's cleanest car coming out next year.

Hope this will help make you stay green.  Happy holidays.

  3. Organic food. I have adult children & back in the 80's, it was too expensive & not readily available, but today it's more & more available. The pesticides they use in the growing process is horrible. I also eat organic eggs, milk, yogurt, cereals, most legumes & grains 7 all veggies...... fresh, frozen & canned. I find this stuff a the local grocery stores these days as well as Wal-Mart, but health food stores like Whole Foods are still growing despite the huge competition which is good for the consumer as it keeps prices lower & shelves fuller:-)

  4. Start small!  Try recycling instead of throwing things away.  Give away unwanted items instead of trashing them.  Look for recycled packaging on things you buy.  Get some plants in your house.  Plant a tree.  Grow some vegetables.  There are tons of small things that really add up in the long run to help out our planet!

If you start with one thing, and then add other green-friendly activities one at a time, you're more likely to develop a green habit.

    Good luck!

  7. Recycle everything you can.  Have a plant based diet.  Motivate all of your friends to do the same.

  8. I find it difficult to go completely green (or even a little), but hey, I try.

I guess during short distances, walk or ride a bike. Don't leave the faucet when brushing your teeth. Even small steps makes you feel accomplished.

  9. Well first start with the small things that you can do easily and then build off of them.  Be conscious of everything you dispose of.  Make sure you recycle whenever it is possible.  Maybe instead of bringing a new bottled water everyday, fill one up and reuse it for as long as possible.  You can also try to reduce the amount you drive by carpooling with your friends.  You can also conserve the amount of water you use.  You dont have to give up showering for five days, but maybe you can turn of the water when you are brushing your teeth.  Im from Atlanta and currently we are in a huge drought so I have definitely become more conscious about how I use my water!  When buying food products, try to buy locally grown food and instead of buying individually packaged food, buy it in bulk.  There are a lot of things you can do each day to make a difference.  One of the best things you can do is to tell people about it and try to get them involved in it too. Hope I helped you!!

  10. * Use reusable bags (when shopping) and water bottles.

    * Avoid paper towels. Use rags and cloth napkins instead.

    * Try to cut back on anything plastic or disposable. It would be pretty extreme to cut out everything plastic and disposable, but just cutting back does help.

  11. who cares!!!

  12. You can always recylce, plants trees on "pLant a tree day" and use solar power-to help global warming :)

merry christmas to you to :)

  13. i'm no full on "green" person but here is what i do:

recycle, unplug electric items (like you cell phone charger when the phone is unplugged), turn of stuff when not in use, don't rush out and buy every gadget theat coes along, walk or ride a bike, use public transpo, use candles...jst a few

  14. Plant trees, try to make people aware about importance of greenery, organize dramas, plays in school & ur colony.

    BEST OF LUCK

  15. It’s sad that you believe the media. 99 cents out of every dollar donated to congress goes to the Democrats. It’s obvious they will report only what benefits those they support, the Democrats. America has been brainwashed by TV and Newspapers.

What if the media wasn’t one of the largest contributors to the Democratic Party, do you think they would report the truth

Broadcasting, journalism and other fields. The union’s members work for companies such as AT&T, General Electric and many of the nation’s top newspapers and broadcast stations.

  16. Great going green! I always eat organic. people say that it is gross but not really. once you start to eat it you'll love. Try shopping at a local Wild Oats or Whole Foods.

  17. Don't let anyone bring you down for wanting to make the world a better place. People who will put you down for doing whats right just can't understand why you are a compassionate individual.

Recycle, stop eating red meat if you can't go completely veggie,  buy from companies who are aware and trying to make an effort to be more green, walk more, drive less, etc.

  18. use flourescent lights instead of incandescent lights

buy rechargable flashlights instead of the ones that use batteries

even better than that, buy a windable flashlight (by winding it up for 5 mins, you will receive light for 30 mins)

eat food that is less processed

drive a small car, or a hybrid

when you do the laundry, make sure you are washing a full load

use less detergent (most people use way more detergent than they actually need)

donate unwanted clothes and toys instead of throwing them away

don't use plastic silverware or plates

live in a home that is connected to others (i.e.apartment+townhouse), rather than a single family home

use a lunch bag instead of paper bags

read the news on the computer rather than buying the newspaper

    hope this helps!

  19. I notice that nobody has said anything about using non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products and organic personal care products, but they can make a huge difference in your own health as well as the health of the planet.

One good idea is to open a window for 5 minutes every day, because indoor air is often 2-5X more polluted than outdoor air.

Oprah had lots of good ideas on her Earth Day show in April of this year - you can see some of it on YouTube.
