what not safe?? there is nothing going on in Jordan.. and the king will not let it happen... if you mean the bombing it happened long time ago.. and it could happen any where in the world...

Very safe! At this time of year it is full of tourists visiting Petra Dead sea Al Rum valley and many more beautifull sites!!!

Jordan is very safe. Taking note of the political situation anywhere you go is generally a good idea, but rest assured, it is quite safe.

Amman is especially very safe. There is virtually no unsafe part of Jordan except at the Iraqi border. Although the rural parts of Jordan have limited infrastructures, the fellahin (or village people) will be happy to assist you.

Jordan is one of the most liberal nations in the region. Women may wear regular clothing without harassment in any part of Jordan. Western fashions are popular among young Jordanian women. However, modest clothing should be worn in religious and old historical sites. However, keep in mind Jordan is a Muslim nation and western norms may not be accepted even by Jordan's western educated elite such as very affectionate gestures. Jordan is not a place where drug use and homosexuality are taken lightly like in the West.
