Thinking of going to Mexico in July? Weather considerations?

Is it out of season in Cancun or Riveira Maya in July?

What is the weather like?

Anything worth considering such as bugs, flys and mozzys?

Also what type of holiday am I likely to get, any culture in or around Cancun and Riveria Maya

What is the scuba diving like there?

Its summer so its hot.

But is also hurricane season, that's why you find that there are a lot of special offers during July and August, because you can arrive and everything can be beautiful or you can arrive and get a hurricane.

So, it depends on the weather.

Maybe you should check the weather a few weeks before your departure.

Mexico has no holidays in July :-(

The scuba diving is great but, again, it depends on the weather.

July and August are HOT HOT HOT and perfect!   Alot of bugs on the Rivera Maya side (more forest area) than the Cancun Hotel Dist.   If you want to scuba go with an excursioin, alot of the reefs are dead in the area and they will take you to the best overall location.  Isla Mujares (Island of woman) is a nice culture experence, rent a golf cart and go all over island, meet the locals, swim with the dolphins, go to the wonderful turtle farm...  SO much to do - we will be there this Thursday for our yearly trip, woo hoo cannnot wait!!

July will be very HOT...its the dry season so expect to sweat!

You may see some mosquitos but the hotels are pretty good about spraying.

I would bring some OFF just in case.

Cancun is very commercialized. If you want culture take some tours out to the Mayan Ruins.

it will be really humid and hot but thats the way most people like it.  i have been there twice and not had to deal with bugs.  the suba diving is incredible!
