Thinking of going to Tenerife in March with my boyfriend for a week. Which resort would you recommend?

We are thinking of going to Tenerife but not sure where abouts to go? We are in our early twenties so want some nightlife (more cocktail bars and nice restuarants with good spanish food, rather than clubs) and something to entertain us during the days (a bit of shopping, tapas, walking along the beach). Any suggestions where to stay? Thank you very much everyone!

adeje gran hotel, adeje beach, playa las americas is out of this world and i have been all over tenerife, google it and see what you think, its quiet at night but a 5 min cab to the action, its a grown up sort of resort, not for kids

I agree with the above, Los Cristianos is lovely at the side of las americas

Los Cristianos is where you want to go, it has a more relaxed night life than Playa de Las Americas but is still only a 20min walk from there if you want a big night out.
