Thinking of home schooling.?

Question

So I'm pretty sure I have Social Anxiety, so I tend to miss a lot of school because of that. When I go to school I do all the work, and get good grades, but because of me missing so much at one time, I tend to get behind. I was thinking I want to do home schooling so that I can do the work at home to my best ability, and at my own pace. The thing is, is that my mom is a single parent and so she has to work full time. I was looking at online home schooling and I came across this website http://www.globalstudentnetwork.com/homeschool/index.php The only thing is, is will I be able to do online home schooling in the state of California? And is there any other good websites that I can do online homeschooling on? By the way I'm in the 11th grade. Thanks for your help.

I would look into some of the virtual schools in CA - there are many.

You should be able to do online schooling.. I don't see why you couldn't.

choosing to homeschool is such a great idea! Ignore what the first person said -she obviously has no idea what goes into homeschooling and what comes out of it.

Unless CA has changed their rules the system you use MUST be accredited by CA

Yes, you will be able to homeschool in CA. Technically, California homeschoolers are considered private school students. Once you withdraw from public school, your parents will need to submit an affidavit with the CA department of education declaring your home to be a private school. That's it.

homeschooling is never a good idea bc u have to be able to work w/the real world. when u grow up u have to know how to communicate well w/others...and i am sorry but u cannot learn that at home.  COMMUNICATION W/OTHERS  IS THE #1 ROAD TO SUCCESS N THAT CAN NEVER BE TAUGHT AT HOME.
