Yes, you can.  The split option even applies to those who are in college.  The only requirements are that you must both be 18 and have a high school diploma or GED by the time you finish AIT.

Yes, I did split option while in college.  You qualify as long as you are in school.

Don't think so, I think the split option is if you enlist while your a junior, you can go to basic training in the summer, return for your senior year, then do AIT after you graduate.
