Thinking of moving to Evian, anyone been there ?

Hi, I am thinking of moving to Evian les Bains on lake Geneva, anyone lived in that area? some comments would be useful thanks.

Evian is a lovely little Spa town, a very quiet and nice place to live. My son lives not too far from there, and we've visited the town. Evidently that close to the Alps, it can get very cold in winter... But the summer is wonderful, and the area is magnificent.

Thonon-les-Bains just west of it is also very lovely, and if you go a bit further southwest, you'll find Annecy, also on a lake, and a very pretty town either to visit or to live in!

I only visited from across the lake (Lausanne) ... I was very disappointed with Evian .. really boring place.
