why is this question SO hard!!!!!!

ok so far i have thought of....

-i can get bored and agitated if i am not doing something, to resolve this i like to keep busy and constantly learn new tasks and extend my knowledge

-i have been told that i can be too much of a perfectionist-i like the quality of my work to be perfect and can be over critical

what do you think?

  1. Try saying sugar, chocolate, ice-cream, and knowledge.  Certainly I know that these might cause fillings and decay in my teeth.

Alcohol is probably not a good one to mention in an interview.

Knowledge is one of my biggest weaknesses, and my strengths.  This is a common trait amongst people who have been to university and follow an academic employment path.

  2. I would not put agitated in the first one, people do not feel comfortable with that, I did not anyway when I read it. I can be overly critical of myself and my work, sounds better I feel..forgive me....Good luck with the interview.

  3. a good tip is to put something positive into a negative he he kind of like reverse psychology - for example, with perfection " Well I like to make sure my work is of a very high standard' or something to that effect. Good luck

  4. The first one shows that you are too ambitious and the second one you are a very fussy person. Both are negative perceptions. Its better to tell the interviewers that they inform you of your weaknesses during your probation period.

  5. I know! These questions always throw me.

I too am a perfectionist and things have to be done on time etc, what I normally say is

'I feel I am a bit of a perfectionist in my work and I over Criticise my work. I am sure with the supportive environment provided I can learn not to be over critical. I feel that although it is a weakness of mine, being a perfectionist can have it's advantages in making sure my workloads are completed on time and I have a very low margin of error in my work'

Even though they ask you for your weaknesses, I was told in my last interview to look at my weakness and to see what positive elements of them I could pull out and apply to the workplace.

    Good luck with that interview!

  6. I like the first one...I don't think saying you are a perfectionist as a fault is good because I think it can imply you take way too long to get anything done.

  7. I prefer to dwell on my strengths rather than my weaknesses

but I like your other ideas as well
