Thinking of whitening my teeth, but i have a (white) filling in a front tooth, will that stay the same colour?

  1. The filling will not change color, but depending on where it is, it may not be *that* noticible after you whiten.  If it is, your dentist can very easily change it to match your teeth.

    As for the most cost effective method, you get what you pay for.  You can try over the counter items such as Crest whitestrips, but that won't be as effective as having your dentist do it in the office or with bleaching trays.

    Bleaching trays are probably the best long term solution because you can use them now and in the future if you want to whiten later on.  They may seem a bit expensive, but if you think about it spread over a few years, it really isn't that bad.  Just keep track of them so you don't lose them!


  2. It will not stay the same color.  The most cost effective way is to use the mouth trays with peroxide.  Hope this helps!
