I need honest opinions here...first, let me intro myself.

1. I will be 37 y/o next month

2. A female

3. English is my second language, but I speak, read, and write well

4. Married, but no children

5. Living in the big city

6. Seriously considering to study law

7. I do not have any saving money to attend law school

8. My GPA is 3.4, graduated from Indiana University in 2004

9. LSAT has not been taken yet

Under my circumstances, do I have a chance to complete JD degree? I know law school is very very expensive, and this is my biggest concern. Now I am trying to figure out that going to this field will be worth pursuing in my age...will I end up paying debts for rest of my life??? Is it too late for me to go this field? I wish I have someone to ask, but I don't know anyone who are in the legal field. If you have your stories or suggestions or opinions for me, it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

  1. I have 3 former coworkers that went to law school between ages 35 & 45.  They each successfully did this while working full time. None of them has children & 1 is married. They are all working as lawyers and are happy they made the jump.   They all went to the law school with the best deal with money and time each being a factor.  Why not get a job using your bilingual skills and go into what ever type of law is related to that job. You'll have experience & a leg up on the competition.  Call your local law schools & speak to guidence & admissions to find out cost, age range of students & flexible schedules.
