  1. Try getting into the MSF  course first then go look for the bike. Honda NightHawk and Rebel are good cruiser and beginner  bike. Don't listen to NINJA advices, this is a sport bike. If your a beginner you need to build up your confidence first before getting into something powerful. Good luck...

  2. Well, if you're a girl, a scooter would be a great option for you. (Guys get laughed at on scooters, but girls get attention on them) I'm 16, and I weigh 105lbs and I'm 5'4, No, I'm not joking, I'm really THAT light. A bike, wouldn't be the best option for you, I have 2 motorcycles and one scooter that I personally own, a s83 boulevard, a lifan 250cc v twin (yamaha virgo clone), and a sporty chinese 50cc scooter.

The s83 boulevard, no matter how nice it is, I cannot safety  handle a 560lb bike.

The 250cc cruiser (400lbs?)  is still a bit much for me, Its hard to keep upright in tight turns, though it can take me anywhere at 75mph.

The 50cc scooter (only 180lbs) is awesome to handle, its just so much more nimble than a bike, I feel as though I'm really in control of it and don't always get the feeling (when doing ANY maneuvering)  that a 400 pound bike is going to crush the c**p out of my legs, which did happen to me riding a 50cc cruiser a year ago (10miles from the hospital) and it was only my 3rd time ever riding a bike, and I would've died right then... if my dad didn't take off his shirt to stanch the flow. My knee was broken from the bike slamming on it, and so was my arm. Never ride on the streets without practice. This is not to discourage you, (riding a 2 wheeler is awesome to experience), but to stop others from repeating my mistake.

A scooters weight is low to the ground and its not top heavy, so in the event that it does fall on you, it won't be so dangerous and it will be easy to pick it back up. Great for the smaller person like me, great to get your confidence for riding a motorcycle. get a 150cc or above, a 50cc can't keep up with traffic, and you'll be wanting the higher speed. If people on their big *** bikes laugh at you, laugh at them when you go to the pump, cause you'll be getting 80mpg, and they can keep their pathetic 30mpg till they go broke.

What ever you get, make sure that you practice around your yard or an empty parking lot till you get so board of it that you could cry, only then can you safely go out into the street.

  3. Make sure  you take the safety course and wear a helmet, and when  you look around  look at Kymco Venox and the Hyosung motorcycles. As good as any Japanese bike and cheaper. They are all water cooled VTWINS get great gas mil age. They are not some import junk but high quality rides. There are 250's and 650's  all in there different styles. I personally like the Venox.

  4. Listen to AsianMoney,

You do want a scooter or small crusier. nothing bigger than 125cc.

If you have to go faster for speed limits, see below

  5. awwww how sweet

    Kawasaki 250 Ninja

    perfect chick bike

you can also decorate the bike by installing decals of pretty flowers, puppy dogs and birds, oh gee it would look so adorable

  6. im the same size. it doesnt matter your size. i have gf that ride huge bikes and they are smaller than me. buy something that you will like in a year from now, not outgrow.

  7. if you like the nighthawk just get that

  8. a late 80's suzuki gs 250 to start with. or a  kaw 440 ltd. is it your first bike for the street? or have you riden before?
