Third Intention to stamp the Heat 5 at Sheffield on 27th March
Sheffield is to become home for the Grade OR Heat 5 over 480 metres flat on Tuesday, 27th March. Taking part in the event with the prize money worth £200 are Third Intention, Meadow Bank Owl, Shimano Siren, Bowtime Joey, Jaytee Monroe and Bush
Whitney.
From those who are competing tonight, Third Intention, Hondo Black’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Babyshan, has struck a victory most recently. The rest have been struggling with other rankings.
On 19th March, Third Intention won the Ladbrokes Spring Festival 630 – Heat 1 at Monmore over 630 metres. He timed the track distance in 38.19 seconds and led by two and a half lengths.
Following the closest was the runner up, Mays Gold while the 6/4 favourite of the race, Aero Majestic, ended fourth. Finishing the race before the favourite was Ballyard Buddy.
Third Intention’s debut victory of the season was in the Ladbrokes.Com 630 on 25th February at Monmore over 630 metres. He reached the other end of the wire in 37.82 seconds. He led the evening’s favourite, Freedom Cache, by two and a half length.
Concluding the race third was Coolavanny Fairy.
His season’s beginning involved training over 480 metres at Monmore on 24th January. He was done with the distance in 28.53 seconds.
6th February and 13th February had him working out through 480 metres and then 630 metres at Monmore. His training before this and then these two sessions did not show as much improvement as they were bound to.
Last time that he worked out was on 12th March at Monmore over 480 metres, a distance that he was through within 28.99 seconds.
His most recent race was the Ladbrokes Spring Festival 630 – Final at Monmore over 630 metres on 23rd March, in which Third Intention scored second after racing for 38.51 seconds.
An entry to look out for is the three-year-old Meadow Bank Owl who has a record of scoring both the 2012 starts second and has been trained rigorously. He is in for the third start of the season and still has to strike his seasonal win.
Both can turn out to be challenging for each other tonight.
