Third Test heading for a draw as West Indies get past 250 in 1st innings

The third Test match between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 and the West Indies is heading towards a draw also as rain continues to hamper the action on the field.
The first ever Test match at Pallekele has turned into a continuation of the rainy trends that have spoiled the series, the first Test match was also affected while the second Test at Colombo was also lost to rain.
Here at the Pallekele International Cricket stadium the action has been sparse, the fourth day of the match is in progress and not even a single innings has been completed yet as the players take another forced rain break on the eve of lunch.
The West Indians had made a decent score in their innings after losing the first Test’s triple centurion, Chris Gayle, on the first ball of the match. The left-handed Gayle was dismissed lbw by Suranga Lakmal.
After his departure the West Indians were rescued by a gritty stand by comeback man Devon Smith and Darren Bravo, both men got out after scoring half centuries.
On the first day of the Test nearly 40 overs were lost due to rain while the second day of the Test was also badly affected by the intervention of the rain Gods.
There was more misery in store for the players and fans alike as the third day was completely washed out.
Things eased out a bit as play finally resumed on the fourth day, with the West Indians resuming their first innings from the score of 244/5.
Brendon Nash, who had held the innings together for the Calypsos was the first batsman dismissed today. The left hander was caught down the leg side by wicket-keeper Prasana Jayawardene off left arm spinner Rangana Herath.

Herath continued his good work in the remainder of the session. His next scalp was skipper Darren Sammy.
The all-rounder was dismissed lbw by Herath for 8 runs off 9 balls. The West Indians reached 297/8 when rain took the players off for a premature break and an early lunch session.
