Meesawat had a less fortunate day in the third round, when he was able to card a humble one-under, 71.
His whirlwind round included two birdies, three bogeys and a blistering eagle to close the 54-hole stretch.
"It was a very good round," said the former Madeira Islands Open winner. "I played unbelievable golf. I think I hit every green and made a few good putts, and I had two good shots from off the green which went in the hole - on the 18th and the first".
He continued, "I was solid off the tee, my irons were good and my putting was excellent, so I’m very happy. I’m looking forward to tomorrow".
Frenchman Gonnet has also played well on the tour since the start of the season and has remained in contention for the top slot on quite a few occasions.
He matched his second day’s performance with a three-under, 69, pulling in seven birdies but had to bear the loss with no fewer than four bogeys on the 18-hole stretch.
No fewer than five players are tied for the 11th spot on the leaderboard, heading into the final round on Sunday.
Argentinean Tano Goya, Rhys Davies of Wales, Spaniard Alejandro Canizares, Dane Thorbjorn Olesen and Thai Chapchai Nirat are settled on the 11th spot with an aggregate of eight-under.
Young Goya also had a brilliant day on the Indian turf when he landed an impressive eight-under, 64 on the third day.
His round included two glistening eagles, five birdies and one bogey on par-four, 17th.
Four players are contending for the 16th spot and will be hoping to make up for the deficit on the final day to post a strong finish if not a victory.
The players include Spaniard Jorge Campillo, Joost Luiten of Holland, Frenchman Gregory Havret and another Dane Soren Hansen.
Anirban Lahiri is the top performing Indian in the event and has managed to settle for a disappointing joint 20th after the 54-hole stretch.
He posted a level-par, 72 against his previous round performances of three-under each and is out of contention for the moment.
Meanwhile, top-ranked Asian Tour player, Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand has not been able to perform well so far, and is currently settled for joint 24th.
