3. When we begin to become dehydrated, we usually become thirsty, which causes us to drink fluids. On the basis on what you know about control systems, decide whether the thirst sensation is part of a negative or positive feedback control system and defend your choice.

This is for anatomy and physiology.

I personally think it is both, but i would like a second opinion before i put that, thanks.

  1. dehydration is negative feedback as well as becoming thirsty is negative feedback. Becoming hydrated after quinching that thirst is posivtive feedback...I think? lol

  2. When your body becomes thirsty, its sending signals to the brain that it needs liquid to effectively continue doing its routine of transporting minerals and vitamins to the needed organs. Dehydration of the body is negative.

  3. Positive , as the body has a response to lack of water by signalling to the brain the urge for a drink, 'thirst' , which needs quenched and will wake you from a deep sleep etc, being thirsty is quite an urgent sensation which  will distract  the person until they quench it and then when enough fluids have been taken, the body switches off the THIRST response.
