I don't like rubbing salt into fresh wounds, but I think we got a very resounding answer to this question. I speak for everyone when I say that our national pride took a massive hit this morning!

You aussies can keep Robbie Deans. No wonder why he didnt get the Allblacks job. I dont know why Aussies make a big fuss about Deans. You guy have been too overconfident just because Robbie Deans is there.  

You aussie fans need to understand this. You need to CHANGE the WHOLE CULTURE of rugby to get CONSISTENT successful results.

The ARU thinks that plucking a successful coach  from another country is going to do a job. The Allblacks have been dominant for so many years because we have a different rugby culture which breeds this winning mentality from a young age hence it will then reflect that winning mentality in players as they get older. Australia does not have this. There is an exception to the 1998-2001 Wallaby side.

The crusaders were dominant because the players were brought up and raised in this kiwi rugby culture. You can give an aussie the crusaders coaching job and I bet the crusaders will still be dominant. You see the logic?
