  1. If you mean the Christmas tree we just put that on the side of the street and let the garbage trucks pick it up. If you mean food, we ate it all.

  2. nope! we cooked and prepared the food without using too much packaging, served it all on washable ceramic plates and metal cutlery (we were a bit short so got a guest to bring theirs), we had washable hard-plastic cups for the kids, ate all the leftovers over the following two days, washed our hands instead of using napkins, cleaned up with washable cloths, put food scraps in our compost bin and flattened out the wrapping paper and put it out for recycling.

So we maybe used a little more domestic water but not as much water as the plastic/paper packaging factories use!

  3. No we thought about what we were going to buy and give before we bought anything and asked our friends and family to do the same.

We only had a small amount of extra rubbish because we had more visitors than usual. It is much easier not buying stuff in the first place than it is dealing with it once you have bought it.
