  1. Of course he has "a chance". . . .but not much of one.

Zahir Raheem had "less than a chance" against Erik Morales, but he shocked the world and rocked the division when he won against the Mexican legend.

Buster Douglas was an embarrassingly-low-grade underdog in his fight with Tyson. . . .and we all know how THAT one turned out.

Oscar stopped getting decisions he doesn't deserve after the Felix Sturm fight.  Sturm should have won, and that was Oscar's last "magic" night.  But like I've said before, wheter Oscar wins or loses, he wins.  He's the promoter, and he's first-ballot Hall of Fame material, so what does it matter if he loses?  He also owns the Ring magazine, and can obviously get a title shot with whoever he wants, WHEN he wants it.

  2. He has no chance.

  3. For James B

Oscar is not falling for that trap again. He has been there, and he will take this fight a lot more seriously.

Forbes has a chance, but Oscar wants to walk out on top, and he will take this fight very seriously. I got Oscar by ko in th 9th round.

  4. Forbes is very slick, but he'll have to completely dominate to beat De la Hoya in a fight like this - this is a tune up for a X hundred million dollar fight, Forbes would have to win, convincingly, like 10 rounds.

Take out the circumstances, and just put Forbes in with De la Hoya it could be a close fight.  Steve Forbes is a terrific boxer, there is a good chance that De la Hoya just overwhelms him with his far superior power, but if Forbes could keep it just a boxing match he could frustrate Oscar and give him problems.

Bottom line, if Oscar doesn't KO him, he'll be given a decision almost without question.

  5. Its just a warm up fight before the rematch with Floyd, Forbes is a decent boxer but he didnt even win the contender series that he fought on, so you would have to say he is average at best. I did hear that he was sparring with either Hatton or Mayweather before there fight and he was putting on a good show but to be honest this will be a walkover for Oscar its another case of people cashing in on the success of the contender show, i mean how did Manfredo get a shot at Calzaghe or Gomez get to beat up on Gatti at the end of his career.

  6. Of course.Everyone/anyone has a chance just a slim chance.

I think De La Hoya should keep going.

  7. The only chance he has is to KO ODLH.  If it goes to the cards, you will see a unanymous decision for ODLH, just like you did at the Strum fight.

Don't know if he is money man, but I do know he is not the man with the money (steve forbes).
