I Keep On Changing My Mind But I Finally Made It Up I Plan On Buying 3 15'' FI.BL's Instead Of The 3 12'' FI.BL's. I Know That The 15'' BL's Can Handle A Little More Power Than The 12'' Versions So Which Amp Can I Use To Give It More Power. Im Buying A Amp For All 3 Subs.

Sub Specs (BL15)

  12. sonic electronix rocks

  13. heres what would be best

all the amps are too powerful for the sub so id go with the 3rd one since the sub is 1000 watts RMS and the amp puts out 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm so id get that amp,get the dual 2 ohm version of the sub and wire it to 1 ohm

  14. good go ahead to get it

  15. wicked dumb too

  16. the Hifonics BXi 1208D is a good one, my brother has one in his car and it kicks pretty bad. are you doing your own wiring?

  17. Well first off, you're spending all this money on speakers...

Did you upgrade your alternator to one with a higher amp output?  Did you buy your capacitors? Do you have an additional battery?  You might not need all that and I'll tell you why.  First off your buying a single channel amplifier, now I don't know how you are installing this, but chances are you won't get your rating down to 1 ohm for the 1200 watts that the amp can ut out.  Your realistically looking at the best 6 ohm resistance which will cut your output to less than 400 watts.

I don't know if you know what you're doing, but since you're putting 3 sloppy goofy 15" subs in a ford countour probably not.  I'm not trying to be condescending, at all, I have plenty of silly hobbies myself.  I'm just trying to tell you that you would get better sound quality from a pair of 8's in a sealed box, 15 inch subs in a ported box will sound like garbage.

I hate to tell you buddy, but even if you could get all 1200 watts to your speakers - which is almost theoretically impossible in your case - it would sound so sloppy that people would just laugh at you.

Not to mention that the actual volume of air needed for 15's to reproduce tones accurately is much much more then the space in your contour - even if you had a suburban you'd be tight pressed for that.

    Don't waste your time bro.

  18. Well first of all if this is a no brainer I must be stupid because I have no idea what you are even talking about!
