This Olympic coverage is terrible and so biased on Ch 7. ?

Question

The Olympics is a world event not just an Aussie fest. As soon as the next aussie competitor or team gets knocked out so coverage of that event stops. It's a disgrace. What about some acknowledegment of world records by others and great sporting achievements by others not wearing the green and gold. Rubbish !

I agree, Channel 7 are biased. They showed the mens 1500m freestyle heats instead of the final of the mens team sprint cycling. I'm not sure whether this is because they're bias towards the swimming or the fact that Australia didn't make it into the final. But seriously, who wants to watch the men swimming 30 lengths per heat, its just boring!

oh well at least is not what channel nine did during the commonwealth games and as soon as a medal ceremony where the aus anthem wasn't played they show the aussie getting a bronze or a silver and cut the footage and go to another sport or an ad.

It doesn't really matter all broadcasting countries are like that they focus on there own countrys effect but i do agree the olympics is a celebration of the worlds athletes and the austraila is only one part of the world

i wholeheartedly agree, the coverage has been shocking so far. i have not seen as much on 7 (gwn where i live) as i would like but as yet i have not seen a medal ceremony that wasn't australian, correct me if i am wrong.

Also i dont think i have heard a national anthem on sbs either.

i must disagree with the comment by one of the responses that all other countries are the same, as i have spent most of my life watching the bbc in england and i think they show almost every medal ceremony there is, regardless of the country.

has anyone put the point of biased coverage to channel 7 themselves yet?
