I am graduating this year in 2008 and my father has asked me where I would like to go for my graduation dinner. Does anyone know of a good restaurant to go to? Thanks in advance!

  1. Tucano's (downtown)...My high school students LOVE that place!

    Paisano's for homemade Italian

  2. Graduation! Exciting!!

    1. The Artichoke Cafe if you like eclectic, delightful food in a calm atmosphere.

    2. The Standard Diner if you like meat and a more casual atmosphere.

    3. There are lots of restaurants on Nob Hill, which is the Central Avenue area.

    For example,

Try pizza and fun at Il Vicino or upscale Italian at Scalo.

  3. A lot depends on your price range.  If you are looking for a nice restaurant, and high price isn't an issue:

For steak, go to the Great American Steakhouse on Tramway and Indian School.  Their steaks are the best in town.

For something different and fun, try the Melting Pot in Old Town.  It is a Fondue restaurant.  You have up to four courses, salad, cheese fondue, main dish fondue (with a variety of meats) and dessert fondue.  There are a lot of food choices, and it is really fun to sit and do the fondue!

For Japanese Teppan Grill cooking, I would suggest Japanese Kitchen.  Their food is excellent and they have just been remodeled..  The prices are better at lunch, if that is an option to consider.  I specifically would not suggest the similar restaurant Azuma -- Japanese Kitchen's food is better and the ventilation system at Azuma is not good and when you leave your hair and clothes will smell greasy like the grill.  Japanese Kitchen has proper overhead hoods which remove any smoke immediately.

    For more moderately priced restaurants:

El Pinto is always good, especially if you want to dine out on their large patio.

Gardunios is also a good choice for Mexican food, but may not be something worthy of a Graduation dinner.

Mario's is very family casual, but they've got really good Italian food and they're not a chain.  (Or of course, there's always Olive Garden, a little fancier but they are a chain.)

Since my favorite seafood restaurant was ousted because they were going to build a drugstore on the spot, the only seafood place I can think of is Red Lobster.  I do know someone who went there for their graduation dinner, actually, but it wouldn't really be my choice.

Good luck, and congratulations on graduation a little early!

  4. Taco Bell.

  5. I heard that Whisque and Lin's were a great place to go.

  6. The only place ive eaten in Albuquerque is Fudruckers and it was good.
