This Sucks!?

I bought a graphics card from newegg.com (8600gts) and used 2nd day shipping with ups, and I thought that I was going to get it thursday, because i ordered it monday. Well, nope. It took 1 day just to get it out of the warehouse, 2 days to ship it to sacramento (just 6 hrs away), and yesterday, i realized it was a holiday, but i didn't think that that was going to be a problem because it said 2nd day shipping! I understand it was second day business shipping, but shouldn't that mean that i should have gotten the graphics card on thursday, allowing 1 day for the graphics card to be shipped out of the warehouse, and 2 days for it to be shipped to me? Its shipping to the same state also, California. Now im going to have to wait until monday (if it even moves from one place to another when shipping), or maybe even tuesday. I have to wait another 4 days for something i thought i was going to get in 3 days. I need this now, because this is supposed to be a birthday gift. What should i do?

  1. I once ordered a systemboard from Wichita, Kansas (I was living in Hutchinson about 60 miles away).  The package went from Wichita, all the way to Tenn, through Okla, through UPS, just to get back to Hutchinson.  I could have picked it up myself alot faster.

  2. that really does suck

  3. happens all the time! Yes it sucks

  4. WAIT AND COMPLAIN TO UPS

  5. 2nd Day shipping means 2 Business days so no weekends no holidays.

I suggest that you could print out a picture of the gfx card box and tell them its on its way and sorry for the delay (unintentional rhyme).

  6. I agree.

  7. theres nothing you can do.

you'll just have to wait for it to come.

but when it has come you can always leave customer feedback and say that you weren't very impressed with the service or e-mail them with a complaint write them a letter etc.

something along those lines is really all you can do.,

  8. its a bummer but that is the nature of shipping on business days. weekends and holidays are not part of the deal
