This Summer's Top Possible Transfers

There are a number of transfers that are near completion, or in the wings at the moment, and if some of them are to materialize, next season could be one of the most exciting ones in recent history. Although the two best players in the world, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, look like they will still be at their club, a number of other stars are rumored to be moving to new clubs. These are some of the biggest transfers so far.
Mario Balotelli to Manchester City
‘Super Mario’ is one of the most highly rated forwards to come out of Italy in recent seasons and his transfer to Manchester City could be as big as 35 Million Pounds but if the big man displays even a fraction of his phenomenal talent, the transfer could still be one of the best ones of the summer. According to reports, personal terms have been agreed to, between the player and club, and it is just a matter of time before the two clubs agree to a fee and with City’s unlimited money supply, that is never really a problem anyway.
Fernando Torres to Chelsea
Liverpool’s prolific striker, and World Cup winner, Fernando Torres looks to be on the verge of a move to the English Champions Chelsea. Although the move appeared to be dying out, recent interviews by Liverpool’s new boss, Roy Hodgson, have put doubts on the future of the player after the Liverpool manager confirmed the player had issues with the future of the club. Chelsea are in need of an experienced and proven goal scorer upfront, with Didier Drogba out injured for the start of the season, and no one currently on the market could fulfill Chelsea’s needs better than Fernando Torres.
Kaka/ Ibrahimovic Swap
Two of the biggest transfers of last season involving Kaka and Ibrahimovic, could be turned on their head as Barcelona look to swap the big man Ibrahimovic for the Brazilian, Kaka. The deal could work out for Real as well, since they do not have a big man upfront as yet and Mourinho likes to play with such a person alone at the front. It remains to be seen whether this historic transfer will materialize but if it does it will surely be the highlight of a rather quiet transfer window so far.
Sneijder to Manchester Untied
The Dutch midfielder has been one of the best, if not the best, midfielder in Europe this past season, with impressive displays at the World Cup as well as during the domestic campaign and his transfer to Manchester United could provide the English club a long term successor for Paul Scholes. Due to the size of the club, it makes sense for Sneijder to come but he has remained a little reluctant up to now, it seems like Manchester United will have to up their offer if they are to secure the right to this phenomenal player.
Ronaldinho to LA Galaxy
After the move of Thierry Henry and David Beckham to the MLS, it looks like the next superstar who could be playing his football there is Ronaldinho. Although Milan have maintained that he is not going anywhere, it looks like it’s only a matter of time before this transfer happens. If it does happens, LA Galaxy will be a team to be reckoned with in the coming years.
