This a good way to hint?

told a friend of mine in an email(I express better in emails) that I like the feel of his skin because it's so smooth and flawless. I also told him that I am flirting with him and I'm sorry and it doesn't mean anything.

Would that tell him I'm interested in him? What does it tell him?

This tells me you are confused and don't know what you are doing.  Either you are, or you aren't.
