but the pie isn't firming...what can I do to fix it?

I would put it into the refrigerator for a few hours,because some pies need time to set up. The refrigerator is the best way for the pie to get set and not be all runny. If the pie still hasn't set after a few hours,then just leave it in there until it does set up firmly because every refrigerator is different in temperature! :-)

what was the recipe? if its a cooked pie it can take as long as 4-6 hours to cool completely and set up

Try putting it in the fridge for a couple of hours.=)
