This air purifier has not reduced my allergy...

Question

This air purifier has been running on high speed for 3 weeks now in my bedroom of medium size and the item was cleaned twice so far. My allergy symptoms to the fall season ( with leaves decaying producing mold) and cat dander have not abated one iota. Upon cleaning this item twice thus far I did notice the metal blades contained dust and I cleaned the unit per manual instructions. The unit runs fine but there`s no let up at all in my allergic reactions. I do not therefore believe this item really removes from the air what the manufacturer says it does.
