This autistic kid on my grandmothers street threatens to kill people and i am afraid for her safety?

there is an autistic kid who lives around the corner form my mommom and he has been in the woods with an axe and once he was on the street with a broadhead arrow threatining to skin my friends little brother....the police were called both times but there are alot of kids on that street including my cousin and many friends.hs mom never watches him and the last time the police were called she just said whoops i dont know how he got that axe and have a good day officer liek it was nothing.he goes to normal school and i heard he threw a full can of soda and hit a kid in the head on a bike form behind the bushes.

what should/can i do about this?

His parents need to be told to watch him closely. They should not be allowed to have dangerous weapons around him.  Call 1-800-4ACHILD. That is child neglect and it is a form of abuse.

Just Being Cool,  and Judy - you both need to read up on Autism.    People with autism are NOT retarded and it's highly offensive when you use words like that.    It's also offensive when you stereotype kids with any disability.    Also, just because they have autism does NOT mean they are violent.  

As for your neighbourhood boy - I would call CPS.  If the mom isn't watching him - that's a big problem.

I would call child protective services (cps). Tell them the stories If they get three calls from three different people they send someone out for an investigation, I would ask some other parents on the street to do the same thing. That is my suggestion

Get a big group with you and go to a child service center or the police.  They will talk to his mother and work something out.  Your right, someday he might have a gun and that would be horrible if someone died becuase of him.  This has to stop becuase kids with autism are really violent sometimes (as you already know)  I know this is a sickness and you can't really blame him, but something has to be done about it.  Good Luck and God Bless!!:)

Oh come on, get real; this kid is not autistic; he is just a bully.  True autistic kids don't go around threatening people because they can't talk and have no feelings whatsoever for other people.  If you are afraid of this kid, call CPS and have them investigate the family.

Judy: Talk about sterotyped c**p. Autistic children can speak. Some are non verbal, most are verbal. Autistic people DO have feelings, and they DO have relationships with people. I have 2 autistic children...Do some reading.

As for your question...CPS is in order. This kid needs to be supervised a bit more. Call CPS and start making complaints, and have everyone in the neighboorhood do it too. His mother probably lets all of this go because he is autistic.
