I would just like to ask if you could give us ideas on which CHEAP resort are available in the place (Puerto Princesa only) since this is our first time to travel here. Better, if you could give us the name of the resort, site and the rates. We're planning to have our whole stay in Puerto Pension since it's cheap but nice place and also offers free continental breakfast. All we ever think of now are the beach resorts and activities available in the said area without us traveling another 2 hours from our hotel. Itinerary would be good too if you have it though. Thank you.

  1. I was in puerto prinsesa last year and I had a blast!!

I do not think there is a resort in the city. You really need to travel for at least an hour to go to the beach.

There are also lots of things to do in puerto prinsesa. mainly visiting historical sites and then again the food is amazing...i can not say enough how delicious it was.

  2. I was in Puerto Princesa last June and we stayed at Puerto Pension.  Please see below for my detailed review of the place, complete with pictures.

    Puerto Pension's contact details:

Address: 35 Malvar Street, Puerto Princesa, Palawan, 5300 Philippines

    Telephone Number: (048) 433-2969 or (049) 433-4149

    Facsimile Number: (048) 433-4148

    E-mail address: ppension@pldtdsl.net

    Website: http://www.pal-onl.com/pension/

If you want to have the most of the place, you really have to roam around.  Only restaurants are near Puerto Pension as well as city landmarks, like the church.  If you want to go to the Underground River or go island hopping in Honda Bay, you really have to travel 2 hours from Puerto Pension.  It's worth the travel time, believe me.

Here's a very detailed itinerary - places to go, restaurants to dine in etc.
