  1. it depends what sort of business it is really, i think you might be able to get grant(s) of like 100, 000 pounds but u need loads of proof and stuff like that,

    but nowadays the government are so tight and all they want is money...for themselves lol


  2. The government runs organisations like Business Link which provide lots of free help and advice on starting in business.  They run free seminars on the subject.  So, too, do the Inland Revenue, which gives you everything you need to know about tax, national insurance and VAT.

    Through Business Link you can get help with funding, both putting together your business plan to apply for funding and pointing you in the direction of the appropriate funders.

    As a rule, any funder will look for you contributing a sizeable chunk of funds yourself.  They'll also expect you to demonstrate expertise in your chosen business and how you're going to repay their investment.
