Hi all

I am considering to further my degree in UK,and I have 5 options;

1)U of Manchester

2)U of Birmingham

3)U of Nottingham

4)U of Surrey

5)King's College

Which one do you think the best one to get into?

Look at the living cost, reputation bout those universities, your personal recommendation,or anything really.

I have one in mind, just wanted to see things more.

I appreciate any answers.

  1. Universities 1-3 are well known for their business programs at both undergraduate and prostgraduate levels, with the University of Manchester being the cream of the crop.

    University of Surrey is a very good enginerring university and also as a great medical program.

    King's College has an outstanding social science (Phychology, Sociolgy, Philosophy) program an general liberal arts departments.

    Personal, I would chose either Manchester or King's but it depends on what you want to study.

  2. Please elaborate which subject. Like:

    Kings college is great for arts & social sciences. univ of surrey is known for engineering and medical sciences. all other are majorily known for business, management, accounting & commerce.

    cost of living is cheapest in surrey. beautiful city thou but best reputation goes to birmingham.

    your choice and call...must say best of luck

  3. According to a league table in The Times, Nottingham's top out of those universities for Chemistry, in terms of research quality, entry standards, and graduate prospects. It's also higher than the others in The Guardian's Universities Guide (no. 19 in the UK). Friends of mine who had no connection with the city chose to move there a few years ago because they thought of it as a vibrant place to live, but I've never visited it myself so can't vouch for this. However in terms of living costs it's not so good, apparently - at the bottom of a list of 27 places according to another website. Each uni you mention isn't on every one of these sites/tables, which makes it difficult to compare them accurately, though. Having made all these recommendations, I have to say that I enjoyed being a student in Birmingham; Manchester is a cool place for students to live and the uni has a good reputation, and Kings College not only has a good reputation but is in my favourite city, London.
