This girl I like broke up with her boyfriend. What should I do?

A friend of mine, that I've known since my freshmen year, (I'm a senior now) broke up with her boyfriend like a couple days ago because he cheated on her with her friend. Next time I saw her, she didn't seem upset at all! I was wondering, whats the right way to ask her out and how long should I wait?

You can't always tell if a girl is hurting because of a break-up. In your case here, she is probably really hurt and is feeling anger first - the pain will come later. My suggestion to you is to be there for her - let her know you are there if she wants to talk or just go out and have fun to get her mind off of the situation.

Once you've established that, let her know that you're interested - but leave it at that. Because she's hurting right now, there's no way to tell how she'll take it. Tell her how you feel and leave it there. She'll come around when she's ready.
