I think he will do well, he scored 2 or 3 goals yesterday and is looking a good prospect. Probably not a starter straight away but a good substitute. Arsenal know good young players when they see them and i think they have have found another good young player.

I believe given time carlos vela will succeed at the club. This season, we'll mainly see him coming from the bench and used in  a few roles. mainly left wing, in a similar fashion to the way arsene treated theo this year. He should eventually be moved to the centre but there is a bit too much competition for places there at the moment, especially when eduardo gets back. The lad has been growing in spain but englands a different league so he'll have much more adapting to do. as others said he did score a few yesterday but it was preseason and against realtively weak oppostion so his performance should be taken with a grain of salt. this boy certainly does have huge potential, and at arsenal he has a great chance of fullfilling it.

Given time I think he can do a job for you. Wenger has this knack of turning average players into good players. If I remember correctly, he has always been farmed out at his other clubs so who really knows. From what I've seen, you should play him on the wing and buy a good striker. Just because he did it with Henry, I don't think it will work with Vela.
