Be careful, LimeWire and other file-sharing software is legal. Using it to upload or download copyright protected media -- music, videos, images, software -- without the copyright holder's consent is illegal because it is theft. Some people have been fined over 2,000 for each song they stole. And like someone else said it is not limewire that causes viruses but the things you download because you have no idea who the person you are downloading it from is and what they have done with it. I have used Limewire in the past and been tracked via my ISP for downloading something illegally and was given a warning and told they would be monitoring me and if I did it again I would get a big fine and even court so needless to say I dont download anymore.

2. some of the files have viruses on them BUT they don't drive-by download or install and you have the option to download or not to download anything. A few tips to avoid viruses: make sure you have a realtime antivirus engine working - i have mcaffee which works fine, and avoid things like p**n, free prizes, special offers and don't use limewire to download programs because they will probably contain viruses.

when you download limwire the safest files to use are over 500 mb ! do not download anything that says kb!

lol go to google and look up limewire download u can download it free and if ur downloading like p**n or bad stuff then yes it could give ur viruses btu if u only download music or music videos then u should be okay :) and dont be lazy look it up..lol

Ok, go to www.limwire.com and download it, then download limewire off limewire, free pictures, free music and you cannot be arrested for it since it's sharing. Not stealing. NO viruses, I use it all the time.

yes some of the files can, id suggest not to use Lime wire some of the stuff people put on there can send you to jail if you accadently download it
