So it was my 2nd day of camp which i knew i had to try harder and i did. But people never pass me the ball and when they do i loose the ball and people set a bad rep on me. This is reason why i hate people say "Practice" because i practice and never succeed in basketball. I Try soooooooooo hard like MJ but never did well. I hate my life. Basketball is my passion and always will be and if i never succeed in basketball i rather kill myself because there is no way i can get better. I just want to be the best out there like MJ did. Life = Fail.

  1. will u chill!!1

dont care what ppl say about u!

demand the ball from them and prove them wrong.

    practice more!

  2. Remember, there was only one MJ.  GO find out something you are good at and be the best you can be.  If you're only a decent high school player then you are better than most ever accomplish.  What if you become a Doctor and cure cancer, are you a failure because you weren't the next MJ?  Be proud of who you are and give it your all no matter what you do and you will be successful in whatever you do.

  3. suks for you

  4. be more agreesive. if u cant shoot or if u r a TO machince, work on defense. B-ball isnt only about offensive. u gotta grab rebounds, steals, and blocks.if u cant shoot, make lay ups

  5. Dude seriously everyone has went through what your going through right now. Try dribbling tennis balls and 2 tennis balls at the wall and catching them. You'll be fine. Don't get frusterated. I think thats whats happening to you. You just have to chill!!

  6. I guess just keep on practicing, not everyone can be a bball player some people played the game since they were small and train everyday. If you say basketball is your passion then keep on practicing and play against new people that will help you know what you need to improve on.

I started playing basketball at 12 and now im  in my high school varsity team

  7. Let me tell you something i have learned so far to be the best practice is a whole different word to put a long story short

practice= shooting untill your arms fall of, running until you puke, go untill you can't move because of soreness

    kid thats what practice is

  8. Oh I thought because your were a Sun's Fan LOL!

  9. Kill yourself at a NBA game and you'll get on Sportscenter.Zack said it right. You aren't practicing hard enough. Some people have to work harder than other people to be good.In the end theres always coaching if you don't succeed at playing.

  10. Pick an easier sport like baseball, full of fat people

  11. There are some things in life you have to get used to, if you are a normal person.

One is that no matter how good you are at something, at least one person can do it better. You can't let that get you down.

You have to understand that 10 million people in USA train like MJ and only 50 of them or so enter the mba each year, most of them hardly make a name for themselves. the rest keep their day job, some completely miss out on life.

If you like Basketball, keep playing it. Its fun, its good for you. At the camp, just try to learn new things and have fun. No one wants to pass the ball to the kid who looks frustrated. Some people are  just better at specific sports than others. Especially if they train like nuts. You will get better. MJ didnt start dunking. he sucked worse than you some time before. but you will never be like him. Ever. Deal with it.

Man you gatta set priorities for yourself. Get a life plan. Heres advice: Get a good education, value family and good trustworthy friends, and get a good job. AND HAVE FUN AND ENJOY LIFE ALONG THE WAY. You will see that after that high school that being the captan of a sport means nothing.

And rely more on your folks than on anonymous strangers across the web. Talk to your parents about these sort of things. seriously.

And enough of this whimpy "rather kill myself talk".

Life = still chance for success.

    death=fail.

so yes, we all will fail. Might as well enjoy life and try to make the world a bit better for the next generations.

  12. Try academics in school.  It is really a more profitable use of your time.  Unlike athletics, you can impact your performance by reading the book and studying with the same passion you bring to basketball.  Sadly, most people go through life thinking that work ethic is the key sports excellence.  It is a genetic factor. Not a product of effort.  Like yourself by making Dean's List.

  13. What's up Omar,

Basketball is not always about who tries harder- sometimes it's simply about executing good habits that you learn.  Camp is not always about proving how good you are- but it's about learning the team concepts -- particularly the offense and the defense and getting better at these skills.

It's only the 2nd day of camp-and it also seems like you are focusing on one side of the ball- scoring points- when there are so many aspects to basketball, rebounding, defense, passing.  Being that it's only the 2nd day- you could just be paired with the wrong group of guys- or you could have a whole bunch of guys that are selfish and are trying to prove themselves- don't worry you'll get your chance- but you have to be mentally strong as well.  It's only day 2.

I'm not sure what it means to you to "succeed at basketball" but you won't succeed if you quit, and you won't succeed if you lose perspective.  What if Michael Jordan had killed himself when he got cut from his High School team?

Life does not equal fail- and as others have said there are more important things than basketball.  Your coaches are there to help you get better too- so learn, don't be too focused on yourself- just play a team game- and you'll get your chance to shine.

i sucked my first week at basketball camp (when i played as a Sophomore) because much like you there were players who played the year before that knew the offense and i didn't see the ball much and sometimes you do a practice game get 2 shots and you miss them both or something- but you keep competing and the coach started to notice my tenacity and defense.  Eventually that got me enough playing time where by the time the season was over- the coach called me the best pure shooter on our team and would put me in to hit the big threes with the game on the line.  Hang in there dude!!!

  14. I went through this as a younger kid. Now I'm the captain of my jv basketball team. Don't pass the ball and show them you can score (try to earn their respect). Never quit, it will never give you ANYTHING

  15. Omar, heres a tip, but you must promise me you will not abuse this. This is the art of becoming the best basketball player in the world.

The key of becoming a great player when you have to start from the bottom is---rebounding.  Yes, you heard it here first.  If you rebound the ball, BOOM, there the balls in your hands.  Then you can deny the ball from your teammates and slowly gain confidence there.

  17. ur such a fool.
