If a question appears that offends you so much, why do you bother to answer it?

If you are only answering it for the points, you are infringing YA guidelines ie "points gaming".

  1. Sometimes it's to point out why it was offensive (in case it was unintentional, typing faster than thinking) and sometimes it's to point out a flaw in the augument. If someone appears to think in this offensive way, it's best for all the people who have to deal with them in the future if you can get them to review thier thinking by pointing out flaws. At the very least. responses might make them think twice about voicing views in the future in company that might get *seriously* offended - so we may have saved those people from being upset or hurt sometime in the future. Which is worth the one minute of typing it takes to answer.

It depends on how they answer, of course.
