This is a litte weird...?

Last night while sleeping, outside my room, by my father's room, I saw this image, it looked like a ghost, seriously. Like a little girl, or something.

Now I was never one to believe in all the hype of ghosts, haunted houses, chain letters and their curses, etc etc, and I'm still not. I'm just curious, I saw a blatant image by my father's room that looked like a little girl. I turned my lamp on, nothing there. Turn it back off, there once again. I checked in the other room to see if there was anything that could produce the image or something, like the window, nope.

Again, I'm just curious, did I just need some sleep? What the heck happened?

I have seen a ghost before so I know they are real and it wasnt in the dark and there were other people there to witness it.

There's a lot of possibilities, you may have been tired (I tend to hallucinate when I'm tired), and it was dark which sends the brain into a state where its looking for some sort of pattern whether or not the pattern exists.
