This is a longshot but.....?

Question

Does anyone know of a place in Scotland where young mothers were sent to give their babies up for adoption? I think it was a hospital run by nuns at that time. This place was still open around the late 60's early 70's. I cant find anything online about it and that's quite a bit before my time.

I heard of a place.  women from Ireland used to come over to Scotland to give birth there.

I think it was named in the book 'Blue Eyed Boy' by Adoptee celebrity Nicky Campbell because his mom gave birth to him and his sister there.
