  1. The combination of Tea Tree Oil soap and the Clindamycin cream is the best for Acne and pimple.

For acne scars and blemishes my wife use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

  2. I did not get acne until I was about 35, went off the birth control pill. I started using Pro Active, it is expensive but it worked like a charm. It took about 3 weeks for to start going away.

My acne was medium and it did not cover my entire face but what I did have really lowered my self esteem. I would recommend this product to anyone one with acne and I have :)

After it completely cleared up I started using less of it because of the cost, but once gone, it kept it under control.

I no longer use it, my face seemed to go back to normal after a few years.

  3. i use prescription antibiotics that my dermatologists directs me to use.

right now i'm using ampicillin it's taken a while for it to build up in my system but it's pretty much working.

i've been using it for about 3 months.

yes i do, but it's not for everyone.

i recommend bactrim, but if you're allergic like me, then don't use it. (obviously)

good luck with your acne, it sucks D:

don't use proactiv. it's the biggest waste of money!

  4. I have a pretty serious case of acne

I basically have tried every prescription as well as over the counter products. At the moment I am using an antibiotic called Solodyn as well as an antibacterial lotion called Clindamycin as well as .3% strength Differin.  I've been on it for a few months and it controls breakouts but this cocktail hasn't exactly cleared my skin up entirely.  If you don't want to go to a doctor Proactive if your best bet. However if you have a severe case of acne and do go to a doctor the best cure (it is temporary) is Acutane.  Acutane is very expensive and can cause liver damage so you have to go for monthly blood tests however it was the only thing to completely clear my skin up quickly.  But remember the cure is only temporary and after about a year my acne started to return.

  5. As Jodi says, ProActive isn't for everyone - it didn't work for me.  I had severe acne, and went to a dermotologist, who put me on Acutane, which is a two-year prescription.  My acne cleared up, and I was acne free for about 10 years.  When acne started coming back, I went back to the same dr who prescribed another medication, now for adult acne.  It's working like a charm....  :)  Moral of the story - go to the experts.

  6. I used Pro Active but it was okay and then i I found Clean and Clear. It really made a difference. It comes with a facial cream wash, face lotion ( that doesn't dry out) and spot medication ( 12 hr relief ) and i loved it. Plus you can get it at Walgreen's for $20

  7. I don't really have acne (and not anymore) but I used to get pimples, but now I use 365 (whole foods) glycerin soap (chamomile or mint) in the shower every day, and wash with water at night and it clears up beautifully without spending lots of $$ or creepy chemicals.

  8. i've been using Proactiv....its good for ME..its not for everyone..if you buy a product test it on other areas with acne other than your face...to be safe

  9. I don't have acne because I know how to take care of it. just clean your face with foam or gel cleanser in the morning and before you go to bed use medication and don't squeeze directly on your acne it will cause scars you can squeeze around it until it pops then use medication.
