Question

HiI have a diamond 1 GB MP3 player and when i go to settings and look at the memory it says it is only 23% full. But when i go to download songs it will not let me downlaod anymore unless i delete a song or 2. what do i do? i hope you can help. My MP3 player wasen't cheap and i dont want to have to by a new one.
